PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE - IT'S YOUR DECISION.

PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE - IT'S YOUR DECISION.

If you want something specific to happen in your career, you have to make it happen.

As John F. Kennedy famously said, "Things do not happen. They are made to happen."

In other words we have to behave proactively and either create our own happenings or take control of situations as they arise.

However, throughout our lives most of us don’t do this, we just react to things after they’ve happened.

Obviously there are those happenings that are totally beyond our control, “My train was late again this morning!”

But even then it’s easier on the soul if you decide to respond quietly rather than deciding to react by ‘kicking the cat’.

So the next time you find yourself in one of those ‘I wish’ or ‘if only’ career moods, change your thinking and ask yourself a question.

‘What do I have to do to make it happen?’
