  1. Responsibility to be accountable - Taking responsibility for one's own health is a critical aspect of staying healthy. Research shows that individuals who take responsibility for their health have better health outcomes (1). 3. Philosophy of health - Following a healthy lifestyle is the foundation of good health as a core value is key. According to a study, "People who follow a healthy lifestyle are 82% less likely to die from cardiovascular disease and 65% less likely to die from cancer than those who have an unhealthy lifestyle" (2)

  4. Nature, Air & Sun - Grounding in nature, forest bathing or a little while in the sun does the world of good not just to your mental health. Moderate sun exposure can be beneficial for health. A study found that "vitamin D, which is produced in the skin through sun exposure, plays a crucial role in bone health and immune function" (7).

  5. Discipline of Fasting - A study found that "fasting for 24 to 72 hours can significantly reduce inflammation, improve immune function, and improve the overall health of the body" (3). Fasting can be a helpful tool in treating illness.

  6. Injury - Hot and cold therapy can be an effective treatment for injuries. A study found that "heat therapy followed by cold ( under 10C) can increase blood flow, reduce muscle stiffness, and decrease pain associated with injury" (4).

  7. Processed foods - Processed oils sugars and additives are addictive and can have negative health effects. Common sense, high integrity choices over shortcuts that do not pay off.
